Do you think,
is an employee relation is one of the requirements of a modern workhouses in
current Organizations?
Employee
relations are basically, ties between employees and employers. Reinforcing of
those ties between two parties will be more benefitted for both parties. An
organization could be maintained positive or negative relationships between
their employees as accordance to theirs human resourcing policies. Is the
outcome of employees being really depending on employee relations of an organization?
Employee and
employer relations are challengeable in the current work environment due to the
appearance of “AI” (Artificial Intelligence) and Chat Bots in to the job
market. Are the relations of employees and employers are moving in to a wrong
direction?
This is an
attempt to discuss about the relations of the Employees and employers,
importance of it, consequences of negative relations, requirement of an
effective strategy of an employee relation and important facts of a strategy
effective employee relationship modal.
My further
expectation is to find collective answers for the above questions while
discussing facts and figures according to the above main topic.
What are Employee
Relations
Employee relation is effectively managing of relationships with employees and employers. Mostly the employee relations are focused on both individual and collective relationship in the workplace with the increment of the connection of the management and the employees of an organization. Increasing in connection between employees and the management will be emphasized by following facts

Governing
the mutual respect, trust and the appreciation.

Building
a strong company culture.

Encouraging,
supporting and addressing theirs concerns and conflicts.
However, maintaining a positive relationship with an employee
is a crucial since it is covering the contractual, practical, physical and
emotional dimensions of employees. Good employee relations management will
translate employees into wellbeing and productive employees. Employee relations
could be identified based on the organization policy and the programme.
Most of the responsibility to maintain the employee relationship is assigned to the Human Resource department of the organization. Maintaining of the positive employee relation is a challenge since the company is look in the matter in a view of earn profits to the company while employees are looking in to bargain their benefits.
Further, Michael Armstrong has explained the requirement of
the employee, employer relationship is in a different way. According to the
author, the same relation will be based on following factors.
1. Bargaining of pay work negotiations.
2. Discussions of Employment practices.
3. Terms and conditions of employment.
4. Issues arises from the employment.
5. Employees voice
Quote - Employee relations are basically about the pay–work bargain – the agreement made between employers and employees whereby the former undertakes to pay for the work done by the latter. Unquote
According to the employee relations, there are two type of relations such as Vertical and Horizontal relationships in the organization. However, vertical relations refer to the relationship between employees and employers, while horizontal relations refer to the relationship between colleagues on the same level in a hierarchical structure.
- Vertical Employee Relations: This refers to relationships between an employee and his or her superiors (e.g., management, executives, administration).
- Horizontal Employee Relations: This term encompasses all same-level employee-to-employee relationships, including employees who are working together on a project or employees who are simply sharing a chat during break time.
People are further analyzing the relationship of employees in
an organization and identified the spread of the same and its effect to the organization.
Therefore, this study will be father extended while searching the importance of
the employee relations and impact of the same to an organization and its
developments.
- However, there is a question still the employee relations are still required?
- If there is no such requirement, why people are still studying/researching about the importance of the employee relations in an organizations?
