Role of Human Resourcing HR in Employee, Employer Relations.


Human Resources is the department which plays a vital role in maintaining a positive relationship between the employee and the employer in every organization. Creating and maintaining a positive work environment id a challengeable but it will nurture to endure a healthy relation with the Employer and the employee.

In order to maintain a healthy relationship, they are liaising between employers and employees, building benefits and policies, and developing compensation and benefits policies by targeting to maintain the smooth functioning relationship with the employer.

HR is responsible for developing policies and procedures that promote a healthy work-life balance, fair compensation, and benefits packages, and a safe and inclusive workplace.




According to Michael Armstrong, employee relations deal with the interactions amongst the parties to the employment relationship. These consist of three groups

  1. employers and employees.
  2. Parties who act on their behalf (trade unions and employer associations) 
  3. The third-party role played by the state agencies.

He points out that within organizations employee relations practices are the product of a number of factors,

  • The interests of the buyers and sellers of labor services (or human resources skills) 
  • The agreements and rules made by them and their agents. 
  • Conflict resolving process that are used
  • External influences affecting the parties making employment decisions.  


Elements to Build a Strong Employer-Employee Relationship


Building serious bond of strength for a worker relationship is significant for the outcome of both the employee and employer all in all. A positive relationship can increment the work fulfillment, efficiency, and employee retention.





There are six elements that identified as the HR department is need to follow in order to maintain the positive relationship of employees.

Mutual Respect

Both the employers and employees should have mutual respect. Signs of disrespect are not just bad for the relationship; they also lead to low retention and bad word of mouth.

 

Knowing Each Other

To commence a rich relationship, it is essential to know the mutual strengths and weaknesses. It allows them to understand each other by discovering similarities and differences.

Communicating Freely

Open doors to communicate is vital in an employer-employee relationship. It leads them to be on the same page, moving in the same direction toward one common goal.

Knowing The Gap

There needs to be a gap between professionals and personal relationships. It is wise to avoid getting too close to employees, as it can cause the gap between employer and employee to become blurred. As a result, it can bring in allegations of favoritism in the workplace.

Embracing Recognition

Employers should remember that recognition and the admiring are equally important as criticism. Take advantage of every opportunity to recognize your employees' efforts, whether it’s hall meeting or monthly outdoor celebrations 

Understanding What ‘Control’ Means

An employer doesn't necessarily have to exercise their right to control the employees.
The standard law test should work as a balance in maintaining the positive relationship is having strong employer and employee relations reaps a lot of benefits for the organization.


Review

The above study indicates us the importance of the HR department’s engagement in maintenance of a positive relationship with the employer and the employee is really important. There are adequate direct and indirect channels are available at the end of the HR department in-order to construct a strong bridge between the employees and employers in the organization.

  •           There is question that, is the HR department of any organizations are really understand that the importance of to maintain a positive relationship with employees and employers?
  •           Do the HR departments are really engaging as a mediator to theirs’s employees to build up a positive relationship with their employers?
  •       If HR department are act like that, are there requirement of parties who are act on behalf of the employees for the purpose of discussions with the employee?
